Have You Tried Microblading Yet?

This is one of my favorite beauty treatments EVER. Microblading is a semipermanent technique for enhancing the appearance of the eyebrows, in which pigment is scratched into the skin in fine, short strokes resembling hair using a hand tool with a blade formed of tiny needles.

I unfortunately have the gift of having very thin eyebrows. When I started to wear makeup at around 17 years old, I started to play around with eyebrow pencils and colored my eyebrows in. I’m not sure who let me leave the house after experimenting with eyebrow pencils, but I just have to say, I am super thankful for microblading because it truly saved my life. My eyebrows were so thin and scarce that I barely had a shape. This technique really changed my face for the better and shaped out my face.

I go for a touch up once a year but it really depends on you and your skin. I have very oily skin so I really can and should go every 6 months. They say if you have oily skin you should go more often because the oil makes the pigment fade away faster than someone with dry skin.

The whole process is quite amazing. I do get a little nervous to be seen in public when I first get them done unless I have a ton of makeup on to blend it all together. I get nervous because when you first get microblading done, your eyebrows are super dark and thick. Then over the course of a week, it starts to peel off and your eyebrows get light. The color settles in and it looks absolutely beautiful.

The first place I ever went to didn’t really do the best job and Anthony was so scared but so nice about it (lol). It’s important to find a place that you trust and know their work.
